PERU: ADVENTURE TRAVEL IN THE LAND OF THE INKAS
Whatever you do in Peru, it will change you. The drama of antiquity played against the mystical Andes mountains and fabled Amazonian jungle draws you along singular paths of human experience.
The ruins of Machu Picchu and Sacsayhuaman cast you down corridors of time to the brilliance and success of the Inca Empire. Afloat on emerald water on an Amazon tributary near Iquitos, you will peer up through primal rain forest to glimpse the canopy 200 feet above. Flights of parrots scream. Transparent butterflies larger than both your hands flutter electric blue in the sun. Cayman alligators move.....

Hike beside the cascading Vilcanota River in the Sacred Valley, or feel its sweep in the water shattered sunshine as you guide a raft or kayak. A thousand miles away you can surf the longest wave in the world at Chicama, site of world championships. The sun and food are wonderful in Peru (try "Papa a la Huancaina" creamy, with a bite). Walking Colca, you will be in the deepest canyon in the world and (likely) see a condor embrace an updraft with a twelve-food span.
"Whatever you do in Peru, you will never again feel quite the same"
